Noticing that Jesus\nhad given them a good answer, he asked him, \u201cOf all the commandments, which is\nthe most important?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> \u201cThe most important one,\u201d answered Jesus, \u201cis this: \u2018Hear, O Israel: The Lord our\nGod, the Lord is one.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your\nsoul and with all your mind and with all your strength.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> The second is this: \u2018Love\nyour neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> \u201cWell said, teacher,\u201d the man replied. \u201cYou are right in saying that God is one and\nthere is no other but him.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> To love him with all your heart, with all your\nunderstanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbour as yourself is\nmore important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, \u201cYou are not far\nfrom the kingdom of God.\u201d And from then on no one dared ask him any more\nquestions.\n<br><br>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today\u2019s sermon was given on Shoebox Sunday by our priest in charge the Rev Nick Mwandia on the fourth Sunday before Advent. 3rd November 2024.
