Entirely on their own, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of\nsharing in this service to the Lord\u2019s people. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> And they exceeded our\nexpectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will\nof God also to us. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a\nbeginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> But since\nyou excel in everything\u2014in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete\n\nearnestness and in the love we have kindled in you\u2014see that you also excel\nin this grace of giving.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font>\n I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by\ncomparing it with the earnestness of others. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> For you know the grace of our\nLord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor,\nso that you through his poverty might become rich.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
