Given by our reader Richard Palmer on the 13\/7\/25 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/130725_202507\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/130725_202507\/130725.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:27<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Luke 10 verses 25 \u2013 37\n<br><br>\nThe Parable of the Good Samaritan<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font>\n On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus, \u201cTeacher,\u201d he\nasked, \u201cwhat must I do to inherit eternal life?\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font> \u201cWhat is written in the Law?\u201d\nhe replied. \u201dHow do you read it?\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font> He answered, \u201cLove the Lord your God\nwith all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all\nyour mind; and love your neighbour as yourself.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> \u201cYou have answered correctly,\u201d Jesus replied, \u201cdo this and you will live.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font>\n But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, \u201cAnd who is my\nneighbour?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font>\n In reply Jesus said, \u201cA man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho\nwhen he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat\nhim and went away leaving him half dead. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> A priest happened to be going\ndown the same road and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other\nside. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by\non the other side. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man\nwas; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> He went to him and\nbandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his\nown donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35 <\/b><\/font>The next day he\ntook out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. \u2018Look after him,\u2019 he\nsaid, \u2018and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may\nhave.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>36<\/b><\/font>\n Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into\nthe hands of robbers?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>37<\/b><\/font>\n The expert in the law replied, \u201cThe one who had mercy on him.\u201d Jesus told\nhim, \u201cGo and do likewise.\u201d\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
