You have not strengthened the weak or healed\nthe sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or\nsearched for the lost. My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every\nhigh hill. They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or\nlooked for them.\u201d<br><br>\nThis is what the Sovereign LORD says, \u201cI myself will search for the sheep and\nlook after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with\nthem, so will I look after my sheep.\n\n<br><br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Luke 15 v 1-7\n<br><br>\nThe Parable of the Lost Sheep<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2 <\/b><\/font>But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, \u201cThis man welcomes sinners and eats with them.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> Then Jesus told them this parable: \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> \u201cSuppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn\u2019t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6 <\/b><\/font>and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, \u2018Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7 <\/b><\/font>I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
