Won\u2019t you first sit down and\nestimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> For if you lay\nthe foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule\nyou, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> saying, \u201cThis person began to build and wasn\u2019t able to finish.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> \u2018Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won\u2019t he first sit\ndown and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one\ncoming against him with twenty thousand? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> If he is not able, he will send a\ndelegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot\nbe my disciples.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> \u201cSalt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35<\/b><\/font> It is\nfit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
