Aaron and Hur are with you, and anyone involved in a dispute\ncan go to them.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font>\nWhen Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> and the glory\nof the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the\nmountain, and on the seventh day the LORD called to Moses from within the\ncloud. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire\non top of the mountain. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up\nthe mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew: 17 v 1-9<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of\nJames, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> There he was\ntransfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes\nbecame as white as the light. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> Just then there appeared before them Moses\nand Elijah, talking with Jesus.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>\nPeter said to Jesus, \u2018Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put\nup three shelters \u2013 one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>\nWhile he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from\nthe cloud said, \u2018This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.\nListen to him!\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>\nWhen the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground,\nterrified. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> But Jesus came and touched them. \u2018Get up,\u2019 he said. \u2018Don\u2019t be\nafraid.\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font>\nAs they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, \u2018Don\u2019t tell\nanyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the\ndead.\u2019\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
