Given by our reader Richard Palmer at our Morning Praise Service on the 8th Feb\u2019 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/22022026_202602\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/22022026_202602\/22022026.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 1:51<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 4 v 1-11\n<br><br>\nJesus Is Tested in the Wilderness<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> The tempter came to him and said, \u201cIf you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> Jesus answered, \u201cIt is written: \u2018Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> \u201cIf you are the Son of God,\u201d he said, \u201cthrow yourself down. For it is written:\n<br><br>\n\u201c\u2018He will command his angels concerning you,<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;    and they will lift you up in their hands,<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;   so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.\u2019\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> Jesus answered him, \u201cIt is also written: \u2018Do not put the Lord your God to the test.\u2019\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> \u201cAll this I will give you,\u201d he said, \u201cif you will bow down and worship me.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> Jesus said to him, \u201cAway from me, Satan!
