This  sermon called \u2018Time To Listen\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/040721_202107\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 5:23<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/040721_202107\/040721.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Isaiah 60.1-6 <\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font>  For darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will appear over you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font>  Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>  Lift up your eyes and look around; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from far away, and your daughters shall be carried on their nurses\u2019 arms. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>  Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and rejoice, because the abundance of the sea shall be brought to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>  A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praise of the Lord. \n\n<br><br><br>\n<font color=\"red\">Psalm 90.1-12 <\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font>  Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font>  Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font>  You turn people back to dust, saying, \u201cReturn to dust, you mortals.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>  A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>  Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death\u2014 they are like the new grass of the morning: \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>  In the morning it springs up new, but by evening it is dry and withered.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font>  We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font>  You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font>  All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font>  Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font>  If only we knew the power of your anger! Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font>  Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. This is the Word of the Lord Thanks be to God. \n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Mark 10.17-31 <\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font>  As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before him, and asked him, \u201cGood Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font>  Jesus said to him, \u201cWhy do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font>  You know the commandments: \u2018You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; You shall not defraud; Honour your father and mother.\u2019\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font>  He said to him, \u201cTeacher, I have kept all these since my youth.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font>  Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, \u201cYou lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font>  When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font>  Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, \u201cHow hard it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>24<\/b><\/font>  And the disciples were perplexed at these words. But Jesus said to them again, \u201cChildren, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font>  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font>  They were greatly astounded and said to one another, \u201cThen who can be saved?\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font>  Jesus looked at them and said, \u201cFor mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font>  Peter began to say to him, \u201cLook, we have left everything and followed you.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font>  Jesus said, \u201cTruly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font>  who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age\u2014houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions\u2014and in the age to come eternal life. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font>  But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.\u201d\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
