This  sermon  is called \u2018Create In Me A Pure Heart\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/290821\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 3:21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/290821\/290821.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">James 1: 19-21, 26-27<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font>  My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to\nlisten, slow to speak and slow to become angry, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font>  because human anger does\nnot produce the righteousness that God desires. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font>  Therefore, get rid of all\nmoral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, and humbly accept the word\nplanted in you, which can save you.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font>  Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on\ntheir tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font>  Religion\nthat God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans\nand widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the\nworld.\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Mark 7: 1-8, 14-15, 20-23<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font>  The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from\nJerusalem gathered around Jesus \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font>  and saw some of his disciples eating food\nwith hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font>  (The Pharisees and all the\nJews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to\nthe tradition of the elders. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>  When they come from the marketplace they do not\neat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the\nwashing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>  So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, \u201cWhy don\u2019t your\ndisciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food\nwith defiled hands?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>  He replied, \u201cIsaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it\nis written:<br>\n\u201c\u2018These people honour me with their lips,<br>\nbut their hearts are far from me.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font>  They worship me in vain;\ntheir teachings are merely human rules.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font>  You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human\ntraditions.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font>  Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, \u201cListen to me, everyone, and\nunderstand this. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font>  Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into\nthem. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font>  He went on: \u201cWhat comes out of a person is what defiles them. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font>  For it is\nfrom within, out of a person\u2019s heart, that evil thoughts come\u2014sexual immorality, theft, murder, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy,\nslander, arrogance and folly. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> All these evils come from inside and defile a\nperson.\u201d\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
