This  sermon  is called \u2018Faith and Favouritism\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/050921_202109\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/050921_202109\/050921.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">James 2.1-13<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show\nfavouritism. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine\nclothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> If you show special\nattention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, \u201cHere\u2019s a good seat for you,\u201d but\nsay to the poor man, \u201cYou stand there\u201d or \u201cSit on the floor by my feet,\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> have you\nnot discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in\nthe eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those\nwho love him? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> But you have dishonoured the poor. Is it not the rich who are\nexploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> Are they\nnot the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, \u201cLove your neighbour as\nyourself,\u201d you are doing right. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> But if you show favouritism, you sin and are\nconvicted by the law as lawbreakers. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> For whoever keeps the whole law and yet\nstumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> For he who said, \u201cYou shall\nnot commit adultery,\u201d also said, \u201cYou shall not murder.\u201d If you do not commit\nadultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives\nfreedom, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not\nbeen merciful.
