Sermon given by our  reader Julie Taylor on the 3\/10\/21 for our harvest festival celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/031021_202110\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 3:35<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/031021_202110\/031021.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Hebrews 1.1-4; Hebrews 2.5-12<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font>  Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the\nprophets, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font>  but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed\nheir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font>  He is the reflection of\nGod\u2019s glory and the exact imprint of God\u2019s very being, and he sustains all things by\nhis powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right\nhand of the Majesty on high, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>  having become as much superior to angels as the\nname he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>  Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to\nangels. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>  But someone has testified somewhere,\n\u201cWhat are human beings that you are mindful of them, or mortals, that you care for\nthem? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font>  You have made them for a little while lower than the angels; you have\ncrowned them with glory and honour, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font>  subjecting all things under their feet.\u201d\nNow in subjecting all things to them, God left nothing outside their control. As it is,\nwe do not yet see everything in subjection to them, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font>  but we do see Jesus, who for a\nlittle while was made lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour\nbecause of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death\nfor everyone.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font>  It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing\nmany children to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through\nsufferings. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font>  For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one\nFather. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and\nsisters, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font>  saying,\n\u201cI will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters,\nin the midst of the congregation I will praise you.\u201d\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
