Sermon given by our priest in charge Nick Mwandia on the 14\/11\/21 for Remembrance Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/141121_202112\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 1:45<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/141121_202112\/141121.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Hebrews 10 v 11-25<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font> The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> \n\u201cThis is the covenant I will make with them<br>\n    after that time, says the Lord.<br>\nI will put my laws in their hearts,<br>\n    and I will write them on their minds.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> Then he adds:\n<br><br>\n\u201cTheir sins and lawless acts<br>\n    I will remember no more.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.\nA Call to Persevere in Faith\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font> Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font> and since we have a great priest over the house of God, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>24<\/b><\/font> And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font> not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another\u2014and all the more as you see the Day approaching.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
