Sermon for the 5th in Epiphany given by our priest in charge Nick Mwandia on the 6\/2\/22 entitled \u2018Jesus&#8217; Fishing \u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/060222\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/060222\/060222.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:05<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Luke 5 v 1-11<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font>  One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were\ncrowding around him and listening to the word of God. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font>  He saw at the water\u2019s edge\ntwo boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font>  He got into\none of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from\nshore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font>  When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, \u201cPut out into deep water, and let\ndown the nets for a catch.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font>  Simon answered, \u201cMaster, we\u2019ve worked hard all night and haven\u2019t caught\nanything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font>  When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets\nbegan to break. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font>  So they signalled their partners in the other boat to come and help\nthem, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font>  When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus\u2019 knees and said, \u201cGo away from me,\nLord; I am a sinful man!\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font>  For he and all his companions were astonished at the\ncatch of fish they had taken, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font>  and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee,\nSimon\u2019s partners.\nThen Jesus said to Simon, \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid; from now on you will fish for\npeople.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font>  So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
