What do you read\nthere?\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font> He answered, \u2018You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and\nwith all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your\nneighbour as yourself.\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> And he said to him, \u2018You have given the right answer; do\nthis, and you will live.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font>\nBut wanting to justify himself, he asked Jesus, \u2018And who is my\nneighbour?\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> Jesus replied, \u2018A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho,\nand fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and went away,\nleaving him half dead. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and\nwhen he saw him, he passed by on the other side. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> So likewise a Levite, when he\ncame to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font>\nBut a Samaritan while travelling came near him; and when he saw him, he was\nmoved with pity. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> He went to him and bandaged his wounds, having poured oil and\nwine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took\ncare of him. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35<\/b><\/font> The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper,\nand said, \u201cTake care of him; and when I come back, I will repay you whatever more\nyou spend.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>36<\/b><\/font>\nWhich of these three, do you think, was a neighbour to the man who fell into the\nhands of the robbers?\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>37<\/b><\/font> He said, \u2018The one who showed him mercy.\u2019 Jesus said to\nhim, \u2018Go and do likewise.\u2019\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
