Aaron\nand Hur are with you, and anyone involved in a dispute can go to them.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font> When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> and the glory of\nthe Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and\non the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> To the\nIsraelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the\nmountain. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he\nstayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.\n\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 17 v 1-9\n<br><br>\nThe Transfiguration<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James,\nand led them up a high mountain by themselves. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> There he was transfigured before\nthem. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the\nlight. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> Peter said to Jesus, \u201cLord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up\nthree shelters\u2014one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the\ncloud said, \u201cThis is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> But\nJesus came and touched them. \u201cGet up,\u201d he said. \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> When they\nlooked up, they saw no one except Jesus.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, \u201cDon\u2019t tell\nanyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.\u201d<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
