This sermon given our priest in charge Rev Nick Mwandia on Palm Sunday on the 2\/4\/23. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/020423\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/020423\/020423.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 3:13<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 26 v 14-27<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> Then one of the Twelve\u2014the one called Judas Iscariot\u2014went to the chief\npriests \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font> and asked, \u201cWhat are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?\u201d\nSo, they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> From then on Judas watched\nfor an opportunity to hand him over.\n\n<br><br><br>\n<font color=\"red\">The Last Supper<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus\nand asked, \u201cWhere do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the\nPassover?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> He replied, \u201cGo into the city to a certain man and tell him, \u2018The Teacher says: My\nappointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at\nyour house.\u2019\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font> So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the\nPassover.\n\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font> And\nwhile they were eating, he said, \u201cTruly I tell you, one of you will betray me.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, \u201cSurely you don\u2019t\nmean me, Lord?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> Jesus replied, \u201cThe one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray\nme. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>24<\/b><\/font> The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man\nwho betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font> Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, \u201cSurely you don\u2019t mean me,\nRabbi?\u201d\nJesus answered, \u201cYou have said so.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font> While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he\nbroke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, \u201cTake and eat; this is my body.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font> Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them,\nsaying, \u201cDrink from it, all of you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured\nout for many for the forgiveness of sins. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> I tell you; I will not drink from this fruit of\nthe vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father\u2019s\nkingdom.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
