{"id":785,"date":"2023-06-11T13:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-11T12:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/46.32.240.45\/slipend.co.uk\/sermons\/?p=785"},"modified":"2023-06-11T13:32:53","modified_gmt":"2023-06-11T12:32:53","slug":"boundless-salvation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/slipend.co.uk\/sermons\/2023\/06\/11\/boundless-salvation\/","title":{"rendered":"Boundless Salvation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Todays sermon was given by our reader Julie Taylor on the 1st Sunday after Trinity, 11th June 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/110623\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"60\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/110623\/110623.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 9 v 9-13\n<br><br>\nThe Calling of Matthew<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax\ncollector\u2019s booth. \u2018Follow me,\u2019 he told him, and Matthew got up and followed\nhim.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew\u2019s house, many tax collectors and\nsinners came and ate with him and his disciples. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> When the Pharisees saw\nthis, they asked his disciples, \u2018Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors\nand sinners?\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> On hearing this, Jesus said, \u2018It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but\nthose who are ill. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> But go and learn what this means: \u201cI desire mercy, not\nsacrifice.\u201d For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.\u2019\n<br><br><br>\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 9 v 18-26 \n<br><br>\nJesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him\nand said, \u2018My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and\nshe will live.\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font> Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came\nup behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font> She said to herself, \u2018If I\nonly touch his cloak, I will be healed.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> Jesus turned and saw her. \u2018Take heart, daughter,\u2019 he said, \u2018your faith has\nhealed you.\u2019 And the woman was healed at that moment.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> When Jesus entered the synagogue leader\u2019s house and saw the noisy\ncrowd and the people playing pipes, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>24<\/b><\/font> he said, \u2018Go away. The girl is not dead\nbut asleep.\u2019 But they laughed at him. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font> After the crowd had been put outside,\nhe went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font> News of this\nspread through all that region.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Todays sermon was given by our reader Julie Taylor on the 1st Sunday after Trinity, 11th June 2023.
