{"id":852,"date":"2023-11-05T19:12:11","date_gmt":"2023-11-05T19:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/46.32.240.45\/slipend.co.uk\/sermons\/?p=852"},"modified":"2023-11-05T19:15:13","modified_gmt":"2023-11-05T19:15:13","slug":"signs-of-the-end-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/slipend.co.uk\/sermons\/2023\/11\/05\/signs-of-the-end-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Signs Of The End Times"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Todays sermon was given by our priest in charge the Rev Nick Mwandia on the 4th Sunday before Advent, 5th November 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/051123_202311\" width=\"500\" height=\"60\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/051123_202311\/051123.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:32<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 24 v 1-14 \n<br><br>\nThe Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to\ncall his attention to its buildings. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> \u201cDo you see all these things?\u201d he asked. \u201cTruly I\ntell you, not one stone here will be left on another; everyone will be thrown down.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.\n\u201cTell us,\u201d they said, \u201cwhen will this happen, and what will be the sign of your\ncoming and of the end of the age?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> Jesus answered: \u201cWatch out that no one deceives you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> For many will come in my\nname, claiming, \u2018I am the Messiah,\u2019 and will deceive many. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> You will hear of wars\nand rumours of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must\nhappen, but the end is still to come. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom\nagainst kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> All\nthese are the beginning of birth pains.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> \u201cThen you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be\nhated by all nations because of me. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> At that time many will turn away from the faith\nand will betray and hate each other, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> and many false prophets will appear and\ndeceive many people. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most\nwill grow cold, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> And this\ngospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all\nnations, and then the end will come.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Todays sermon was given by our priest in charge the Rev Nick Mwandia on the 4th Sunday before Advent, 5th November 2023.
