It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not\nhave flesh and bones, as you see I have.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>40<\/b><\/font> When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>41<\/b><\/font> And while\nthey still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, \u2018Do \nyou have anything here to eat?\u2019 \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>42<\/b><\/font> They gave him a piece of broiled fish, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>43<\/b><\/font> and\nhe took it and ate it in their presence.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>44<\/b><\/font> He said to them, \u2018This is what I told you while I was still with you: everything\nmust be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets\nand the Psalms.\u2019\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>45<\/b><\/font> Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>46<\/b><\/font> He\ntold them, \u2018This is what is written: the Messiah will suffer and rise from the\ndead on the third day, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>47<\/b><\/font> and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be\npreached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>48<\/b><\/font> You are\nwitnesses of these things.<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Todays sermon was given by our reader Julie Taylor on Mothering Sunday 14\/4\/24, on the third Sunday of Easter with the sermon entitled \u2018Jesus appears to his disciples\u2019.
