Recorded on Palm Sunday 13\/4\/25 entitled &#8220;The Triumphal Entry&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/130425\" width=\"500\" height=\"60\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/130425\/130425.mp3\">HERE<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/020225\/020225.mp3\">!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 3:44<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Zechariah 9 v 9-12\n<br><br>\nThe Coming of Zion\u2019s King<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font>\n Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!\nShout, Daughter Jerusalem!\nSee, your king comes to you,righteous and victorious,\nlowly and riding on a donkey,\non a colt, the foal of a donkey.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font>\n I will take away the chariots from Ephraim\nand the warhorses from Jerusalem,\nand the battle bow will be broken.\nHe will proclaim peace to the nations.\nHis rule will extend from sea to sea\nand from the River to the ends of the earth.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font>\n As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,\nI will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font>\n Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;\neven now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Luke 19 v 28-40\n<br><br>\nJesus Comes to Jerusalem as King<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> \u201cGo to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> If anyone asks you, \u2018Why are you untying it?\u2019 say, \u2018The Lord needs it.\u2019\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, \u201cWhy are you untying the colt?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> They replied, \u201cThe Lord needs it.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35<\/b><\/font> They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>36<\/b><\/font> As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>37<\/b><\/font> When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>38<\/b><\/font> \n\u201cBlessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!\u201d\n<br><br>\n\u201cPeace in heaven and glory in the highest!\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>39<\/b><\/font> Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, \u201cTeacher, rebuke your disciples!\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>40<\/b><\/font> \u201cI tell you,\u201d he replied, \u201cif they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.\u201d\n\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
