Given by our reader Richard Palmer at our Family service on the 25th Jan\u2019 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/250126_202601\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/250126_202601\/250126.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 4 v 12-23\n<br><br> \nJesus Begins to Preach<\/font>\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. \n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> Leaving\nNazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun\nand Naphtali\u2014 \n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font> \u201cLand of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee\nof the Gentiles\u2014 \n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living\nin the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.\u201d\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> From that time on Jesus began to preach, \u201cRepent, for the kingdom of heaven has come\nnear.\u201d\n<br><br> <br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Jesus Calls His First Disciples<\/font>\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter\nand his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. \n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font>\n\u201cCome, follow me,\u201d Jesus said, \u201cand I will send you out to fish for people.\u201d \n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> At once they\nleft their nets and followed him.\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font> Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother\nJohn. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them,\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"red\">Jesus Heals the Sick<\/font>\n<br><br> \n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the\nkingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
