Given by our new vicar Rev Lindsey Moss, recorded on the 7\/5\/26 on the 7th Sunday of Easter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/170526\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/170526\/170526.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 4:15<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Acts 1 v 6-14<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> Then they gathered around him and asked him, \u201cLord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> He said to them: \u201cIt is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> \u201cMen of Galilee,\u201d they said, \u201cwhy do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.\u201d\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthias Chosen to Replace Judas<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day\u2019s walk from the city. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">John 17 v 1-11\n<br><br>\nJesus Prays to Be Glorified<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:\n<br><br>\n\u201cFather, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.\n<br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"red\">Jesus Prays for His Disciples<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> \u201cI have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>10<\/b><\/font> All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>11<\/b><\/font> I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.
