They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> \u201c\u2018We played the pipe for you,<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and you did not dance;<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;we sang a dirge,<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and you did not mourn.\u2019<br>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, \u2018He has a demon.\u2019 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, \u2018Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.\u2019 But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.\u201d\n\n<br><br><br><br>\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">The Father Revealed in the Son<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>25<\/b><\/font> At that time Jesus said, \u201cI praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font> Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font> \u201cAll things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> \u201cCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.\u201d\n\n<br><br>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
