Given by our reader Richard Palmer at our Family Service on the 12\/7\/26<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/120726\" width=\"560\" height=\"384\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/120726\/120726.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:35<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 13 v 1-9 and 18-23\n<br><br>\nThe Parable of the Sower<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>1<\/b><\/font> That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>2<\/b><\/font> Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>3<\/b><\/font> Then he told them many things in parables, saying: \u201cA farmer went out to sow his seed. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>4<\/b><\/font> As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>5<\/b><\/font> Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>6<\/b><\/font> But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>7<\/b><\/font> Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>8<\/b><\/font> Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop\u2014a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>9<\/b><\/font> Whoever has ears, let them hear.\u201d\n\n\n<br><br><br><br>\n\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> \u201cListen then to what the parable of the sower means: \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font> When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>21<\/b><\/font> But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>22<\/b><\/font> The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>23<\/b><\/font> But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.
