Given by our vicar Rev Lindsey Moss, recorded on the 23rd August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/230826_202608\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/230826_202608\/230826.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 1:14<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Matthew 16 v 13 \u2013 20 \n<br><br>\nPeter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, \u201cWho do people say the Son of Man is?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> They replied, \u201cSome say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font> \u201cBut what about you?\u201d he asked. \u201cWho do you say I am?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> Simon Peter answered, \u201cYou are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font> Jesus replied, \u201cBlessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>18<\/b><\/font> And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>19<\/b><\/font> I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>20<\/b><\/font> Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.\n<br><br>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
