Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>4<\/strong><\/font> not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>5<\/strong><\/font> In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:\n<br><br><blockquote>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>6<\/strong><\/font> Who, being in very nature God,<br>\n    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>7<\/strong><\/font> rather, he made himself nothing<br>\n    by taking the very nature of a servant,<br>\n    being made in human likeness.<br>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>8<\/strong><\/font> And being found in appearance as a man,<br>\n    he humbled himself<br>\n    by becoming obedient to death\u2014<br>\n        even death on a cross!\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>9<\/strong><\/font> Therefore God exalted him to the highest place\n    and gave him the name that is above every name,\n<font color=\"blue\">\n<br><br>\n<strong>10<\/strong><\/font> that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,\n    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,\n<font color=\"blue\">\n<br><br>\n<strong>11<\/strong><\/font> and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,\n    to the glory of God the Father.<\/blockquote>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"red\">Do Everything Without Grumbling<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>12<\/strong><\/font> Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed\u2014not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence\u2014continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><strong>13<\/strong><\/font> for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon given by our reader Julie Taylor brings us the second in the mini series on Philipians.
