On the earth, nations will be \nin anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>26<\/b><\/font> People will\nfaint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly \nbodies will be shaken. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>27<\/b><\/font> At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a \ncloud with power and great glory. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> When these things begin to take place,\nstand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> He told them this parable: \u201cLook at the fig tree and all the trees. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> When they\nsprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is\nnear. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the\nkingdom of God is near.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> \u201cTruly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these\nthings have happened. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will\nnever pass away.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> \u201cBe careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing,\ndrunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you\nsuddenly like a trap. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35<\/b><\/font> For it will come on all those who live on the face of the\nwhole earth. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>36<\/b><\/font> Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to\nescape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before\nthe Son of Man.\u201d\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
