Given by our reader Julie Taylor on the 27\/2\/22 entitled \u2018Transfiguration and Transformation\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/270222\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Mp3&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.org\/download\/200222\/200222.mp3\">HERE!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sermon starts at 2:04<\/p>\n\n\n\n<font color=\"red\">Luke 9: 28-37<\/font>\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>28<\/b><\/font> \u00a0About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>29<\/b><\/font> \u00a0As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>30<\/b><\/font> \u00a0Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendour, talking with Jesus.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>31<\/b><\/font> \u00a0They spoke about his departure,\u00a0which he was about to bring to fulfilment at Jerusalem.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>32<\/b><\/font> \u00a0Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>33<\/b><\/font> \u00a0As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, \u2018Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters\u00a0\u2013 one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.\u2019 (He did not know what he was saying.)\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>34<\/b><\/font> \u00a0While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>35<\/b><\/font> \u00a0A voice came from the cloud, saying, \u2018This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.\u2019\u00a0\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>36<\/b><\/font> \u00a0When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves and did not tell anyone at that time what they had seen.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>37<\/b><\/font> \u00a0The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
