She was bent over and\ncould not straighten up at all. \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>12<\/b><\/font> When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said\nto her, \u201cWoman, you are set free from your infirmity.\u201d \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>13<\/b><\/font> Then he put his hands on\nher, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>14<\/b><\/font> \nIndignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said\nto the people, \u201cThere are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days,\nnot on the Sabbath.\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>15<\/b><\/font>\nThe Lord answered him, \u201cYou hypocrites! Doesn\u2019t each of you on the Sabbath\nuntie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? \n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>16<\/b><\/font> Then should\nnot this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen\nlong years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?\u201d\n<br><br>\n<font color=\"blue\"><b>17<\/b><\/font>\nWhen he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were\ndelighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon from St Andrews Church, Slip End, UK.
